For users of the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung’s own personal mode is the way to do it. Built in option may not be perfect, but it does the trick and can be very useful in keeping some things secret.
How to Enable Private mode?
To activate the private mode, all you need to do is head to the settings, and then enter the Privacy and Safety menu. There, you will find a private mode. Click to activate the private mode. You will be prompted to choose how to use the private mode. You can protect your Galaxy S6 in personal mode with a separate authentication that requires a PIN, pattern, password or fingerprint. If you choose to authenticate the pattern, you also need to enter a PIN reserves.
What Is Private Mode?
Personal mode is one way to hide and conceal certain files. It works with Samsung apps, or even third-party applications such as Gallery, Music, Video and similar. One example is to keep some of the pictures in the gallery below private mode. When others see your gallery, they will not be able to see the pictures hidden. But once you login to the private key authentication mode, you will see a picture. This feature provides you with a system “for your eyes only”. The files are still on your device, but only you can access it.
How to use?
Once you set up a private mode, moving fast in the settings menu, so you can quickly activate it. Once the mode is set, all you need to do is press a button and enter the authentication key (pattern, PIN, password or fingerprint). Once you turn the mode on your Samsung Galaxy S6, a small icon will appear in the status bar. While in private mode, you can always click on the “More” button for the application and the file, choose the option “move to private mode”. Once you leave the private mode on or off, applications, files and data will be hidden.
Guest vs. Private
Personal mode is a feature that Samsung has introduced in response to Google Guest Mode feature that debuted with Android 5.0 operating system the new Lollipop. Samsung decided not to include the “Guest Mode” at the Samsung Galaxy S6. However, there are indications that the ‘Guest Mode’ will appear in S6 with the Android 5.1 update.
